This is a summary of the GSL rules. For a complete copy of the GSL

Meet Aircraft
- Whenever possible a large door aircraft will be used for GSL
meets.

Jump Run
- Jump run - 10,500. AGL.
- Indicated Airspeed for a Twin Otter is 85 to 95 knots
- For a Twin Otter with four teams per load there will be two
passes with two teams each

GSL Meet Format
- Formation Skydiving Competition will consist of an Open and
Intermediate Class
- Open Class will consist of six rounds. Each round will consist
of 5-6 points drawn from the whole IPC 2005 dive pool and rules
(same as USPA Nationals Open and Advanced classes, NSL AAA class).
Infringements will be a one point deduction. Omitted
formations or inters will be a three point deduction.
- Intermediate will consist of four rounds. Each round will
consist of 3-4 points drawn from a reduced dive pool of all randoms
and eight blocks (2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 19, 21). Infringements will be a
one point deduction. Omitted formations or inters will be a three
point deduction. This class is the NSL A class. Teams in this
class may complete 6 rounds, but only 4 will be used in determining
GSL rankings.
- Teams may choose the class in which they wish to compete.
- Teams must compete in three scheduled meets
in the same class to be
eligible for year-end league awards in that class.
- Teams may compete in other NSL classes
but will not be eligible for GSL meet awards or year-end awards.
They will, however, be eligible for NSL awards and championships.

Event schedule
- Draw is held at sunset on Friday and is posted at the NSL website
www.skyleague.com
- Saturday schedule:
- 8:00 am - Registration opens
- 8:30 am - Competitors briefing starts
- 9:00 am - First load takes off
- Sunday's schedule (in the event of a two day meet) must
remain flexible
- Awards presentation and competitors meeting will be held
after the scores and standings have been determined.

Registration/Waivers/Manifest
- The Meet Director is responsible for all of the associated
competition paperwork. Competitors are required to complete an
individual and a team GSL registration form to participate in the
competition.
- It is the meet host's responsibility to insure that each
competitor completes a drop zone waiver and that the competitor's
skydiving equipment is in date.
- The Meet Director will work with the host's DZ's manifest to
insure that the meet runs smoothly.

Meet Director/Judging
Various individuals will serve as Meet Director/Judge/Coach for
each of the competitions. These persons may not be officially USPA
Rated however, in lieu of rating, shall be nationally recognized
Formation Skydiving competitor or former competitor possessing the
knowledge and skills required to serve in this capacity.

Videographers
- It is the responsibility of each team to provide a
Videographer.
- The team shall be responsible for all compensation of their
Videographer.
- Any team needing assistance obtaining a Videographer should
contact GSL Management in a timely manner.
- The GSL will gladly assist in securing a Videographer for a team
when given adequate notice. If your team needs video, please do not
wait to the last minute to let someone know.

Video Dubbing and Public Judging Area
- An area large enough to accommodate a dubbing station (one VCR
with cables and a TV monitor) and a public judging area or DZTV will
be provided for the meet.
- The minimum dedicated video equipment required for meet support
is two VCRs and two TVs.

Awards and Certificates
- The top three teams in the Open and Intermediate classes each
receive GSL medals.
- The first place team in each class at
each meet will receive 10 points. The second place team will receive
9. The third place team will receive 8, etc. The team with the most
points at the end of the season (determined by each team's top three
meets) will be declared the GSL Champion in that class.
